How & Where to get a Fishing License!
This is the procedure to getting a fishing license. You first need to go to the marina in Loreto. The building you want to go is next to the boat ramp and is the office in the north west corner of the building.
This is the lady that will help you get your fishing license. You can get a one day forĀ (45 pesos), one week for (120 pesos), one month for (240 pesos) or one year for (450 pesos) and a 25 pesos typing fee to the lady. She will type out a form which you then take to the bank to pay then you come back and she types out your card. I was able to pay her for the one week and the one months I got my kids. The license is got formĀ the day you want it to start to the time it becomes time up. You also need to go to the office across from the lady’s office and get a daily pass for the park. It is to be worn on your wrist any time you are on the water in the waters from Loreto to LaPaz.
The price is 22 pesos a day. You can buy as many as you need for the time you want to be on the water. If you go fishing with a ponga captain he will provide both the license and the day pass. They will also provide the fishing gear. Whatever the charge is $125-$300 per boat per fishing time. Additional charges are bait, fish cleaning and a some fish if you have enough to donate to your captain.
