Saturday, July 25th, 2009I was just in Loreto the last four days.
Our plane was the first to use the new terminal. It is very nice. They still didn’t have the computers up and running in the new terminal so when we left you had to still go to the old terminal, check-in and then haul your check-in luggage over to the new terminal to check in the luggage. A bit of a hassle, but they hope to have the computers up in a month or so.
The pilot whales were there and we saw three huge pods on our way to Coronado, as were the dolphins.
There was a newspaper on Friday that I had a local interpret for me and the headline said that they were going to announce a new buyer for Loreto Bay tomorrow. Tomorrow came and we didn’t hear a word.
The golf course is being maintained and the hotel is rumored to be opening in the next month or so.
I hadn’t been there for a while, so I was very pleased with the progress of the courtyard areas in Founders. I thought they looked great, as well as the pool area, and were very well maintained.
If any one has news on the canal homes, I would be very interested to hear what you know. My visit has re-energized my enthusiasm to have a home there, SOMEDAY!
